Road Trip
Sunday we decided to take a road trip to Muir Woods and Stinson Beach. We took a 1 mile walk through Muir Woods checking out all the Redwood trees. Eleanor was inspired by the sight of the trees and went pee pee in the potty at the vistors center after our walk. Her first public restroom success! Our day was off to a positive start. Afterwards, we headed over to Stinson Beach. It is a cool beachy town where we were able to grab some grilled cheeses to go and have a picnic beside the beach. The weather was perfect! The sun was out and the girls enjoyed running wild on the beach. Vivian and Eleanor were excited about going to the ocean. They definitely wanted to go further into the water. Vivian kept saying the water was chilly but she got use to it after awhile.

December 2010
Our family had a fun December with the arrival of Jeff to San Francisco. We have had a great time exploring all the cool playgrounds around the city. There are so many great playgrounds close to us. We have also had a good time eating all sorts of great food too. Our neighborhood is very walkable where we can walk to many restuarants, bars, grocery stores, etc. We have enjoyed strolling Eleanor and Vivian has done a great job walking on her own. Freddie is a huge fan of the dog park across the street. There is also a basketball court where the girls can ride their trike and scooter. Santa was great for the girls too. Eleanor loves her new train set and trike. Vivian has really enjoyed riding her scooter and practicing her new roller skates.
Hope everyone is doing well!

Vivian's 4th Birthday
Here are some pictures from Vivian's gymnastic birthday party. The rope swing was one of her favorites!
August 2010 (Better late than never)
So I got a little behind with my blogging during the process of selling our house, moving to a temporary house, starting a new job, and then moving the whole family to a new city. We are finally all settled and I am finally catching up on old pictures.

Trey Thompson's Arrival!
Friday, July 9th Harry Neal Thompson III (Trey) was born at 10:50am. He weighed 8lbs 2oz and was 20 and 1/4 inches long. He is such a sweet baby. Vivian and I went to Atlanta to see Trey. Harry and Audra were so nice to let Vivian and I stay at their house with Mama J and Hollis. Vivian and Hollis had a fun time together.

My new nephew!

Vivian was beyond excited to see her baby cousin.

Audra, Harry, and big sister Hollis!

Vivian is still very excited!

Proud grandparents!

Pops and Vivian holding Trey's birthday cake. We felt slightly guilty that Audra made this cake for us while she was stuck in the hospital.

Hollis & Vivian getting ready for bed.

Harry and Hollis sitting at the fountain outside of Northside Hospital.

Vivian is throwing pennies in the fountain and making wishes for Hollis and Trey. Meanwhile, Hollis thinks the fountain is a pool and isn't happy Harry won't let her go for a swim. It may be hard to see but Hollis is fighting to get into the fountain in the background of this shot.

HAPPY 4TH OF JULY!

Messy girls having a snack.

Both girls had ear infections the Wednesday before the holiday weekend so they had an extended holiday weekend. I was home with them most of the week so I got bored and had a photo shoot on the front porch.

Friday night picnic with our neighbors, The Hoovers. Even though it looks like the sun is blazing hot in everyone's faces, it was actually a very nice night. Junior, Eleanor, Chloe, and Vivian.

High class fun: kiddie pool and water balloons. Eleanor cried everytime the water balloon popped.

Here is a picture of the girls before the neighborhood parade. Vivian rode her bike (without training wheels) during the parade. Eleanor rode in the trailer behind Mom's bike. The parade ended at the pool where we had food and did some swimming.

Sunday, we went over to the Hoover's house to celebrate the 4th. Chloe is driving Vivian and Eleanor on her Barbie Jeep. I'm sure this isn't safe with 3 kids piled into a small jeep. Eleanor would not settled for being left behind. She thinks she is about to turn 4 just like Vivian.

The older girls got to play with sparklers!
